Hot Rolled Steel /Pickled & Oiled

Hot rolled steel, a foundational material in numerous industries, is produced through a process where steel is heated above its recrystallization temperature and then rolled into various shapes and thicknesses. This method results in a product with excellent structural integrity and strength, making it suitable for a wide array of applications.

Pickled and oiled (P&O) steel, a variant of hot rolled steel, undergoes an additional treatment where the surface is cleaned of scale, rust, and impurities through a pickling process using acid. Following this, a thin layer of oil is applied to protect the steel from oxidation during storage and transportation.

P&O steel is favored for its improved surface finish and enhanced flatness, making it ideal for applications requiring precise dimensions and a clean appearance, such as automotive components, appliances, and structural steel. With its superior properties and versatility, hot rolled and pickled & oiled steel remain essential materials in manufacturing and construction sectors worldwide.
